Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using dvotn. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use dvotn. By using the app, you represent that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to belong to users under 18.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date. You may not impersonate another person or create an account on behalf of someone else.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use dvotn to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Upload content that is illegal, obscene, or violates the rights of others
- Solicit money, financial information, or personal details from other users
- Advertise, spam, or promote third-party services
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the platform
- Create fake profiles or use automated bots
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
4. Content You Post
You retain ownership of content you post (photos, text, etc.). By posting content on dvotn, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the service. You represent that you have the rights to any content you post and that it does not violate any third-party rights.
5. Prohibited Content
You may not post content that:
- Depicts minors in a sexual context
- Promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity
- Contains hate speech targeting protected characteristics
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion and without notice.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
dvotn offers optional paid subscription tiers. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe depending on your platform. All purchases are subject to the payment provider’s terms. Refunds are handled according to the respective platform’s refund policy.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.
7. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
Upon termination, your profile will be removed from discovery. Some data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
dvotn is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that other users will behave appropriately. You interact with other users at your own risk.
We strongly encourage meeting new people in public places and taking appropriate safety precautions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, dvotn and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to damages from interactions with other users.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless dvotn and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or your violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
